Thoughts on this Newegg combo deal

Hey guys, I've been out of the PC world for quite awhile (take a look at my sig rig and you'll know what I mean). A friend recently sent me the link to this Newegg combo deal asking if it was decent for the price. I think he has a HDD and DVD drive we could use for the time being so I'm thinking I could scrape together something better in the same price range but my lack of knowledge on the current hardware has been hampering my search. He's just looking to get back into PC gaming. Probably some TF2, Portal, CoD maybe WoW.

So what are your thoughts on this deal and might I possibly be able to do a little better?

Core i3-2100/H61/4GB/1TB SuperCombo - $333

I also realize the deal is missing a vid card so adding in the cost of that I'd like to keep it under $500. The further under $500 the better.

There is a lot of "no" in that combo - a. H61 is terrible, if you want integrated video H67 or Z68 (Z68 being preferable as later you can get an unlocked processor and overclock) -

1333mhz memory is terrible for overclocking later (1600mhz isn't usually any more expensive)

I steer away from Seagate hard drives

I tend to steer away from combo case / psu combos as the psu that comes with them is often a no no

Here is something that I put together that would fit your $500 budget (AMIR) - before rebates its $518, there is $40 in rebates so it ends up being $478

I appreciate the help man! Fortunately I have a DVD drive and HDD so I can maybe spend a little more on some of the other parts. While you where putting your list together I took a shot at one myself. I could be completely off the mark here, but I had to at least try.

Op has no reason to get a z68 motherboard if he has an i3 2100 since they are fairly un-overclockable. Just get a H series it should be fine and cheap for you.

Edit: disregard this post, didn't read apple's post correctly.

Also, if possible steer away from biostar, i've had bad experiences with their customer service.
