the story is that i was looking for a modular PSU to replace my Tagan ITZ 1300W i found the 2 striders on ebay for $250 i told the guy i would give $300 if he took them down now. so thats how i got them, once i recieved them i rma'd them, there was nothing wrong but it was good that someone checked em out and made sure. so i know i'll never half that power but i said dam, it would be funny as hell to use em both just so i can say i have 3Kw to throw around. and that's the same reason i watercooled my ram, ZERO performance difference, i knew it would be like that i just did it for the hell of it

Thread Starter
This thread seems to be getting just a little off-topic.

Not that I mind--I've heard all that I've needed to hear.

I'm sincerely sorry, asantas93, for reviving this dead thread once again, but I would just like to point out that RtGScarFaceLS knows nothing about comparing hard drives and SSD disks. (nor does he know how to keep a thread on topic)
Not once in this whole four page discussion has he mentioned anything about RANDOM read / write speeds of Solid State Drives or the access times for HDDs vs SSDs. His evidence of price to performance is based SOLELY on SEQUENTIAL speeds of hard drives which is a huge mistake.

Of course it will cost less for you to strap a bunch of cheap hard drives together. And you might actually reach similar sequential speeds.
But when it comes to Solid State Disks, any hard drive can take its access times and its sequential access and shove it far up its anal cavity.
