Anyone use MX5500?

Thread Starter
A buddy of mine uses the MX5500 *I think*. I know its a keyboard and mouse combo with bluetooth...
MX 5500
I know he got the keyboard and mouse on a boxing day sale, and he uses them to game on his couch, which I wouldn't mind doing either. He says they work great because of the bluetooth, but I'd like a second opinion.

Has/Does anyone use the Logitech MX 5500 Revolution bluetooth keyboard/mouse, and how does it compare to a normal/gaming wireless keyboad/mouse setup?

I can get the set for $180, maybe cheaper, and I want to know it's worth it, or if I'm just wasting good cash.

Thanks guys

I do not use one but several folks I work with do. They have a very nice feel; they have the Logitech "PerfectStroke" scissor switches.

Only 2kro though, so I wouldn't personally use it for FPS gaming.

I bought the mouse alone, so never touched the keyboard.

The revolution MX is still the best mouse available, because the sidewheel and the active scroolwheel.

The sensor is "just" 800 dpi but for me is more than enough to do anithing.

The only drawback for me is the size, slightly too large for my hands, I prefer the great M705 on that matter.

I suppose the keyboard is good enough given that the person who sold me the mouse bought the whole set just to have it.

I have it, and it's really good for professional and general use. the software is top notch and I really loved its smart shift technology..

Although it's bluetooth, I never experience any lag whatsoever so far..

I don't game very often now. But if I'm gaming, I still prefer my naos5000 and naga..

EDIT: The keyboard is also good in general use. Although it's not mechanical, it's feel really nice to type on. The monitor has some useful feature, I use it for showing CPU & RAM usage and calculator only. I use the calculator a lot because I work in engineering sector. The rest is standard media feature. It just pretty much fit my needs..
But like I said before, I don't game heavily now, so if I want some gaming keyboard, I will just buy logitech G13.
