BC2 worst map Port Valdez

Whose idea was it to make this map? Everytime the server rotates to this map its the samething attackers who camp on hill not to mention the people that take tanks and think it is a good idea to camp spawn with them.

Then after the first point you reach this choke that is so narrow it is near impossible for infantry to push pass the hill because of the ridiculous nade spam from the defending team and as usual you got the genius that decides to take the tank and camp as usual.

Are we going to see more maps like this in bf3 and are they planning on making it so gernades have a cooldown? i am quite tired of the nade spam. I remember in bf2 there was a desert map think it was called karkand which was pretty much a nade fest on all infantry servers.

Team coordination without friends how is that possible? I am sorry but when you have team mates that constantly kill you and revive you and other things like tracing each other in spawn destroying your anti tank mines makes it quite funny that you say team coordination is key

I hated Port Valdez at first, but once i started palying more and more, i liked it, or rather jsut got used to it and knew how to fihgt the campers. Counter-Snipe. when you are shot you should have an idea where they are. go to a recon class and take them out quick. Or be like me and be an involved recon, move up with the team (a little behind of coarse but move up) if an objective needs taken, pull out your sidearm and give them support. My personal fav is the M9, as in real life it is a smooth fireing gun but in BC2 it has too much recoil though and is short 3 to 4 rounds depending on the mag size (I have shot mags that can hold 15 or 16 rounds, +1 for the chambered round of coarse.

Its an awful map, and complies with the DICE's map policy of a completely linear map design with no flanking/strategic options available, where the only way to win is just overpower the other team with brute force and no real strategy. Its just a huge meat grinder. I hope Battlefield 3 maps aren't linear, and go back to the good old days of BF2 maps.
