Ok, working on my gf's mom printer, it stopped working wirelessly, can't find the adapter for it, and when I go into the printer's settings, the network maintenance tab is now gone, did the adapter inside really die?

How old is the printer?

It is possibly for the wireless adapter to die. I would remove all drivers, and do a fresh install and connect it via hard-wire. Some printers/fax's now a days don't come with the A type USB cable so you might need to find one; if that's what it takes.

After:

Attempt to connect it wirelessly threw the installation or manually.

If it still wont show up then it's most likely dead.

Already did that, its a newer model dell. The network setup tab from the maintenance part of the list on the printer itself completely disappeared as well
