Asus P8P67 PRO & 2500k, help me get 5ghz

Thread Starter
I'm using the latest Prime 95 blend, realtemp, & cpu-z for monitoring

Asus P8P67 Pro 1850 BIOS (newest)
core i5 2500k
50 multiplier x 100 bclk
9-9-9-24-2t timings (factory recommended)
Internal PLL Voltage = Enabled
Load Line Calibration = Ultra High
VRM Frequency = MANUAL 350
Phase & Duty control = extreme
CPU Current Capability = 120%
Vcore = set to MANUAL 1.525
DRAM voltage = 1.50 (factory recommended)
CPU Spread Spectrum = disabled

Everything else left in AUTO, VCCIO, VSSCA, everything

ALL power saving features ON, EIST, C1E, C3, C6

temps are fine...mid 70s since the D14 is a beast...I'm mostly throwing BSOD codes for 124 and 101....I'm thinking I have to fine tune the other voltages that I left in auto....I already tried lower vcores than 1.525...but it BSOD's even quicker...sometimes I can't even get into windows...so I doubt I need less vcore

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

just don't do that for 24/7! 1.525v will kill that thing FAST.

I wouldn't even run that for a few hours at a time. Anything over 1.4v and you could shorten the life of your CPU. Especially coupled with your high temps (anything over 70).

Seems to depend who you speak to. most people seem to say max 1.5v and under 80/85 for 24/7 clocks.

I currently get 73-80 under prime and when transcoding x264 only 69-77 @ 1.5v, so I'll be sure to let you guys know if it dies suddenly

Apparently it has an internal server error when I try to edit my post; so i apologize in advance for the double post.

I'm actually running 5.0ghz at 1.48v currently; its been prime stable for 10 hours and counting.

I'd lower my voltage to 1.50 if i were you; 1.525 is way too high for long term usage. also set your CPU current capability to 140%; this is what made mine stable.
