According to Armen Zambrano, the Release Engineer at Mozilla Corporation, with the introduction of a small set of Windows 2008 64-bit machines, Mozilla started cooking Firefox x86-64 nightly builds and has been doing so for more than a week now.

I used Nightly 64 bit for a while, but the plugin support was terrible. I'll settle for 32 bit for now.

LOL I finally installed Waterfox last week. Glad to hear Mozilla is getting Firefox into the 64-bit game though.

I'll get it as soon as the plugins start supporting it too. I use way too many of them to find stock FF useful without it, and they're the biggest reason why I don't switch to Chrome or Opera.

Windows 8 better introduce some actual use for 64-bit. The lack of applications that run 64-bit is really depressing. I got my first 64-bit CPU in... what? 2004? jeez.

I enjoy the snapiness of IE 64-bit, though it can't run half of what I use the web for. I hope that firefox can work with adobe and java and get the ball rolling.

And I want to write a letter to Mozilla, asking exactly what purpose delegating new versions to miror changes in browsers is.

I know my sentences suck. Been awake for too long coffeeeee

There are already a 64-bit Java and a beta 64-bit Adobe flash. For most websites, that is all you need.

The lack *32 means it is 64-bit.

If you mean a true OS that supports the fully extend of 64bit. Only one that currently does that is Unicos.

Agreed. 64bit flash is horrible depending on the image / app.
