570 sli or 590?

ok guys I have my new build all ready to go/ I previously planned on getting a gtx590. But as they are not readily available I was wondering if I should just go ahead with a couple of 570's.

I can only shop on amazon so it limits me as to what I can get (bunch of gift cards and credit on there)

I also have a 750w psu as well would that even be able to hold the 570's? it is a corsair tx 750.

From what I see 2 570's is pretty close to a 590. Just getting tired of waiting for it.

first off the gtx 590 is basically 2 gtx 570...i would got for the gtx 570 in sli overclock them and they beasty.... you get get by with a 750w but i would recommend 850 especially if you decide to overclock them.

While a single card solution is nice, bear in mind that its not really a single card because it has dual gpus.

I'd personally go with the 570 SLI simply because they offer similar performance at a lower cost. I've had bad experiences in the past with dual gpu single cards like the 8800GTX2 I think? (Its been a while) They've come a long ways since then, but the bad aftertaste still lingers. No first hand experience with the 590, but I hear that it has some more problems with drivers and compatibility than 570s. Simply put, 590 is uncommon and thus its support is also less.

It's hard to go wrong with either one, but since you can squeeze more out of the 570s in terms of overclocking and they are a tad bit cheaper I'd go with the tried and true.

edit: lol the two people who posted both have 570s in SLI . No bias here, move along.

I honestly wouldn't get a 590 unless you're going to water cool it, SLI 570's sounds more viable on air.

I was also wanting a GTX 590 but the availability was just awful, just go with the SLI 570's and I bet you wont be disappointed. Yes that PSU will be alright, but what else is in your system besides the Corsair PSU.

Do you plan to overclock? Either your cpu or your gpu?

Okay, yeah get another PSU first before OCing to be safe. But if that's what you want to do 570 SLI all the way.
