The ironic thing is Dr. Dre's album titles all involved drugs, but he never used or sold any drugs himself. Beats are overpriced but marketing works very well.

What? Really doubt the validity of this, maybe post 2001 when he turned into a body builder. But back in The Chronic, and NWA days? There's no way he didn't do some ****.

I have a friend that has them. While everything I've read says that they suck for the price, it's always fun turning up the volume on a song with big bass and feel the headphones vibrate/jump on your ears.

The only pair I think is worth getting are the Pro's, and even then they are overpriced. The solo's, studios, etc, all have absolutely horrible build quality and are almost guaranteed to snap in half on you at some point. If you want an example of this, go to just about any Best Buy and look at their displays, every month my store goes through a pair of solo's and studios because a customer broke them.

The Pro's, however, have a really nice, thick, aluminum band though that I feel like I could throw off a building. That, and the Pro's are probably the best sounding ones, with the most balance(not over-pounding bass, etc). They aren't as bad as people on this forum make them out to be, considering almost none of the people who talk about them have actually owned a pair and actually gave them a chance past listening to the horribly mixed and embarrassingly bad Black Eyes Peas song that's usually associated with the demo for them in stores.

If you are looking to get the best bang for the buck quality headphones you can get, this is definitely the wrong brand for you. You easily pay 40-50% of the cost for the build quality and the brand name and the style. If that's something you take into consideration(which I do, there's nothing wrong with it) then you might like them.

But if you just want a good pair of headphones within your budget purely for audio quality, there are much better choices.

They're seriously ok. Maybe a bit over ok.

They're about 2-3x the price that they should be though.

What he said. There like Macs. Nice brand name. Good product. 2-3x what it should cost.

They are rubbish... what's the point of it? You buying it for the name, not the quality.

I bought these £54 headphones which I'm using right now (Sharkoon X-Tactic 5.1 Channel) which is 110% better than that Dr. Dre mumbo jumbo
