Gaming Mouse - Page 2

If you're unsure about your grip, I'd probably recommend a MX518/G400. Both are well under your budget, and both can be easily claw or palm gripped.

Keep the prediction in mind. I personally like mice with prediction as it helps me keep my crosshair at head level in CS:S.

I recently upgraded (or so I thought) to a Razer mouse. I don't remember which one but it was around $70.00. After a fw weeks I then hooked up my second computer with my old mouse and to my surprise the old mouse seemed more accurate. I since swithed the old mouse back to my primary gaming machine and i can really tell the difference. The old mouse is a Logitech G9.

Basically, if you do a hard swipe across your mousepad, a mouse with prediction will smooth those lines out a bit, making a straighter line than you would achieve if the mouse does not have prediction in it.

It's a feature in a lot of mice, and kind of a preference thing. I'm likely in the minority on these boards in terms of liking prediction for gaming. I've found that being able to keep a level crosshair helps in many more situations than the prediction is a hindrance in. Others will disagree.

Me too, prediction isn't that bad, actually it can help in some situations. I don't mind it, but it would be nice to have prediction as an option.

The best gaming mouse under your budget is sure to be this Logitech G500 Gaming Laser Wired Mouse, you can get it for only $38. Sounds cool, right?

Own a million mice

Best of the bunch IMO is the CM inferno, easily.

For both quality and feel.

Deathadder is so meh to me, it feels ok and all and tracks well, but for the love of god why in the hell did they make this mouse with no on the fly DPI change buttons?

I mean seriously, it's said to be a competitive mouse in the FPS world.

If you do get it, enjoy not being able to flick your DPI higher when you get in a tank or be a chopper gunner in bad company 2, utterly effing ridiculous.

And it is. Most competitive gamers don't change DPI in-game, and BC2 isn't played competitively as far as I know.

This mouse is junk. And it's over his budget.

Can't go wrong with a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0.
