No you can't, I've actually taken the time to research and compare everything when my X3's broke and before I bought my X11's, you're easily going to pay $15 at least for all of the extra cables/adapters you'll need. Also, you are saving more than $20. Another thing: Yes, the soundcard is necessary if you want the same pin-point accuracy as the TBs, because as I said before, soundwhorability > audio quality when it comes to gaming on consoles.

also, lol at this..I'm sure there are a few people in this thread who have made this mistake.

..And terrible sound quality.
Not this garbage again. I've already proven to you that the G35 is a pretty good headset for its price. Move along audio troll.

Does that mean we can find garbage non-gaming marketed headphones? Sure. Should we make a ignorant post saying all non-gaming marketed headphones are garbage? NO!

Again you're talking about professional audio equipment, this is a CONSOLE headset. With a marketing attempt to make it compatible with a pc to make people warm and fuzzy.
So of course professional audio is going to sound better than ANY console headset.

Yes you can.
Ugh... positioning and audio quality are not mutually exclusive. Real headphones have larger soundstages than gaming headsets, therefore they are better at "soundwhorability". And no, virtual surround is not necessary, which is why 99% of professional gamers don't use it.

Oh so your entire argument is that, since these are consoles, it has to sound like utter garbage? Alright.

AD700 with Xonar DG. Is better than G35 in every way. Same surround technology available, with even more options to customize surround. Larger soundstage, and better clarity.

Then why praytell is it considerably clearer where everybody is when I use my X11's vs HARX900's? There is a a CONSIDERABLE difference. Nobody is saying positioning and audio quality are mutually exclusive as you seem to like saying, but there are obvious differences between the two when you compare two completely separate products.

Please stop. You have no idea what you're talking about. You can't understand soundcard input, and you think soundstage requires software. I don't want to keep arguing with you have you rebut with "NO!"

" Nobody is saying positioning and audio quality are mutually exclusive "
"there are obvious differences between the two "
Contradictory to the max.

Yeah, it was. Your entire argument is "No you can't use good quality headphones!! This is for consoles!!! Consoles need bad quality overpriced products!!"
