Well, let's see...he sells out arenas, sells millions of albums (will have solid over a billion by the time he retires probably...), has had the kind of success YOU never will, dates any girl he wants to. Wouldn't all that make him the greatest ever? Or does a small minority (of haters) opinion count for more than a majority of people?

Good one.
Back to the OP now.

EDIT: No one even mentioned CoD. These are bad because they're terrible quality, overpriced, and rely on endorsements. CoD being terrible has nothing to do with this.

Name a mic for $50 or less that works with Xbox and PC and doesn't need to be charged that has better sound quality. If you find one I will look into them. And the "flimsy" mic never broke or even got damaged in a couple years of use.

The Microsoft Wireless Headset is better quality. You can also use some sort of adapter for mics. It's the terrible stereo quality that makes the X1 horrible, not the mic.

I don't use the headset to "chat" I use it to sound whore in games. If I wanted to just "chat" then i would still be using the Microsoft Wireless PoS. And for that purpose it does very well. Is it the best sound quality? Obviously no. But if they sound decent, thats all I care. I don't nerd rage if the sound (or anything for that matter) is not 100% perfect. I have yet to find a headset that works with PC and Xbox (w/ chat) and doesn't need to be charged for $50. Like I said, if you people know of a headset that does all the above for the same price with better sound tell me. But don't start bashing people because they buy something that isn't "top of the line". Half you people probably drive piece of crap cars, but am I gonna tell you your car is garbage, no.

Well when you are playing CoD EIGHT ( yeah I prefer to remind people this is not just CoD MW3 but the frakking eight CoD ) , listen to music on Beats you can play on Turtle Beach he?

How to choose a good "gaming" headset:
1/ Decide a budget
2/ Go to a hifi store, pick the closest Headphone by a HiFI brand ( Sennheiser, Beyerdynamics, AudioTechnica, Koss... )
3/ ????
4/ Profit

Ha I'm loving my Beyer DT880 + Astro Mixamp + AMB M3

And SacredChaos : your are perfectly right, your arguments are valids. We are whining about the people who spends 300 Bucks on a piece of kotick poo while they could be quality head phones. Low-end is something else and I respect your choices because you do have perfectly valid reasons to buy these and you are not fooling yourselve thinking " olol Turtle ***** makez 1337 phones!111!!!eleven "

I can never understand why people get so defensive when they get audio advice. "Best for your budget" is not "top of the line". The JVC RX700s sound 100x better than the PoS Turtle Beach headsets, and are cheaper. I don't know what "sound whoring" is, so excuse me. I didn't "nerd rage" about anything, I gave you the truth; Turtle Beaches are absolutely horrible for their price. Honestly, it just sounds like your regret is making you angry, but we all make mistakes.

Bahaha! Clearly you are bringing bias into this. Do you have a vendetta against TB or something? X11's rule. $50 and I can sound-whore, go ahead and tell me how I can do that with stereo headphones + clip-on mic for cheaper/same price. If you hook up stereo headphones without built in virtual surround, YOU DON'T GET SURROUND. Thus cannot sound-whore. I've tried gaming on my 360 with my HARX900's and they suck for it. Are you suggesting I spend more than the X11's just to get a mixamp to run virtual surround on my HARX900's which already cost more than the X11's and to be honest there isn't that huge of a difference if you compare my regular .mp3s on either set.

Edit: You've never even heard of sound-whoring? Do you not play FPS games online or something? You are clearly a bad judge of what is good or bad in this scenario then.
