yep. expect the msi 580 to clock lower when you sli tho.

so either you OC the palit one or the msi is going to be running slower.

I can probably OC the Palit Card slightly right? Since the frequency difference is so small.

But if I don't OC it, what will the performance difference be??

I don't know what kind of spacing you have for pci-e slots on your mobo, but be aware that the Twin Frozr coolers, while technically being dual slot coolers, cover up your mobo slots like a 3 slot cooler due to the fans protruding slightly past the second slot.

And just so you know the TFII will be blowing air into your case which will affect the already higher temps created by going SLI

O.O My board's spaces out the 16x and 16x slots with 1 pci slot in between which means I can have a Palit Card on top and a MSI card below, but that would seriously harm the airflow for the Palit card. Is the fan protrusion really that huge?

@ tats, I have a HAF-X with a 120mm fan blowing directly at the GPUs with the provided GPU fan shroud. I am planning to purchase the Twin Frozr II due to the "better cooling", what other GPUs do you recommend, if not just stick with the stock reference GPU?

Watercool it.

That's your best option.

I don't know what your talking about I have the same card in question, and I have another card right below it fitting fine.

But yes, everyone does have a point, spacing is key here, if you don't have enough space between each card, you'll kill them in heat because the cards won't be able to breath.
