Very few people interact that much with computers...but alot of people interact with other other people through computers.

Even while coding and I am making something for the end-users...they get it and like it or send it back to me with hate mail. The process is still human intereaction.

Now when you start working with an AI powered computer or robot...then it might get wierd. However, I have feeling few people on these forums will be creeped out in the slightest by it.

Yes, only problem may be def con 3, world war 3, etc...

But... I don't know, it's progress, I mean the invention of guns = death of more people, actually the same as before, but come on, it's required to move forward.

The reason we are creeped out by Androids is because, by nature, all machines are sociopaths with no conscious or morality. It is a defensive instinct in us to be afraid of the things that could kill us without remorse.

The end.

I would prefer robots to be totally 100% distinguishable from humans... It just seems like we are adding another element of confusion or misrepresentation that is not required.
I could only imagine someone frantically searching for help and coming across one of these, in times of panic or desperation you could mistake them for an actual human and not get the help you need. At that point who would be liable for their actions or their non-actions?
I say we go with the Futurerama approach and make robots look like robuts.

"Interacting" with the first and the second would be fun, if you know what I mean.

Until it malfunctions and rips your junk off tough. Then it's not fun.
