Intel P8P67 Overclock

Thread Starter
Hi, this is my first time every posting here or anywhere for that matter. I have An intel P8P67 Motherboard. Bios Version 1850. Processor is Core i7 2600k @ 3.4GHz. I have 2 x 4GB G.Skill PC3-12800H 1600MHz Ram. I have been desperatly trying to figure out how to overclock my overall perfermance. Its been days now, and the most ive managed to get my cpu speed to was 3.5Ghz. I used a couple diff speedtest softwares. They all show the same speed. There must be a way i can get it faster then this? Right? Hope i posted in the right area. Thanks in advance for any tips.

2)I didnt know intel made P67 boards... I know asus does
3)GREAT GUIDE CLICK ON ME
4)Make sure you have a good CPU cooler. What is your current cpu cooler? If its stock then dont expect to go very far..

Best way to overclock would be in EFI Bios. There should be several threads here that have an overclocking guide.

EDIT: you can use this guide here

Oh and don't use the software Asus gives you in AI suit II, it likes to overclock with BCLK which is not recommended
