Also the ram you linked has a faster clock speed but a really high cas latency compared to the other so i put the new one on and kept the old to compare. What's better for ram 2133 clock with 11 cas latency, or 1600 clock with 7 cas latency? Thanks for the help I am looking into the micro Center around me but not sure about it.

Going to read invisible stuff now and make more adjustments

first, please pick one set of RAM or the other
then, get a different case, the 1200 is overpriced and has horrible cable management

The speed makes a much bigger difference than cas latency. Plus the faster ram is cheaper, it's a no-brainer. I would read the post by Invisible after mine. He has put in some good suggestions as well which would help you save some money! He's right in every aspect, but there's nothing wrong with spending more money for better components! but regardless, get rid of that velociraptor asap! I would put 2, 3, or even 4 depending on how much space you want in RAID 0 over the spinpoints just because I feel like these hard drives are much more reliable and also utilize SATA III.

Mobo - Take out both of those, the EVGA (its a 1366 socket anyways, while your 2600k is 1155) and the Z68. Unless you are putting an SSD in this build, a P67 will do you fine. I'd get an ASRock Extreme4. BUT if you do plan on throwing an SSD into this build (which I would highly recommend if you have the cash, they ARE worth it), then a Z68 is what you wanna pick up. For this, I would get a GigaByte board or an ASRock, if they have Z68s. But brands are just personal preference in this portion of the parts.
I do plan on getting an SSD if you have any suggestions and why is the Z68s better for an SSD than the p67? Do you have any recommendations on mobos?

I might start some video editing in the fall but not alot, mainly gaming and watching video. So if the 2500K is just as good I'll go with that thanks

If you don't ever plan on XFire'ing, then get a 650W, so you'll have a ton of headroom for intense OC'ing. For brands, Corsair and Antec are the way to go.
Yea I think I have an 850W on there now thanks.

I took the velociraptor off and will add the Spinpoint F3 thanks. I do want an SSD if you know of a good but cheep one.

Of course 7 is faster than 9, but you are talking about a pretty steep price increase for literally a couple nanoseconds of faster performance. You can get 8GB GSkill Sniper Series RAM that runs at 1.25v @ 1600 for only about $65.
Would a 2133mhz clock ram with a cas latency of 11 be good or should I try for a better cas latency?

I don't plan on burning blue ray but i do plan on watching them. Also I plan on burning dvd's every once in a while but don't want to buy 2 different opticle drives if i don't have to, unless it would be cheaper.

Switched to the antec 1200 for now it looks nice unless you know better.

I looked at the Spinpoint F3's and there 3Gb/s instead of 6Gb/s would that be worth it or should I find a 6Gb/s one?

You aren't going to come close to saturating SATA II with a 7200 RPM drive. Most SSDs won't. The highest numbers I've seen on a benchmark for the F3 are just over 250 MBps burst read.

A Z68 board has SSD caching, which, just like your browser does caching, allows data to be stored so frequently used applications can load faster. That's a really rough definition of it, if you need a better explanation I'm sure someone else can branch on what I said.

For suggestions on a Z68 board, I'd recommend an ASRock Exteme4, or an ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe

The only way you'll be able to get a pre-unlocked 6950 is buy it used where someone has already done the process for you. And it's pretty difficult to get a reference model these days that will unlock. I would recommend getting an MSI Twin Frozr III, and then overclocking it a bit more. Also, there is a chance that it could unlock, since people have done it before. There are 2 BIOS's, so if you mess up, you can just revert to the other.

Intel has some fairly cheap ones, but you sacrifice performance of course. I believe some of their X-25s or whatever it is tops out at like 82-85mbps write. If you wanna get the best bang for your buck, OCZ's Vertex series is the place to go

I've never bought over 1600MHz on RAM before, so I didnt even know CL's could go that high, haha. You're probably better off getting a 1600 stick with a tight CL, and then OC'ing them.

I was completely idiotic for a second, and forgot that blu-ray burners and readers could also burn regular DVDs. Getting one BR combo drive would best the best option. Just stick with that. Not sure on what brands are best for BR drives cause I've never used one, but the one you picked out seems pretty top of the line.

I personally would go with an HAF 932. It's definitely the most popular full tower case in the market at the moment I would say, and I really dont know of a single person on this forum that doesnt just love theirs. It provides a very sexy interior with a sexy air flow path. But, I've never used the Antec 1200 case, so I can't personally comment on how it performs. This is just what I would do.
