Raven rv03 or keep my haf932?

Raven RV03 vs HAF932

Hello All,

Does anyone know how the stock cooling and noise of HAF932 compares to stock cooling of Raven RV03 In regards to dual GPU system?

I currently have original HAF932, and while I'm happy with cooling, I'm bored with the case and not happy about the amount of dust it attracts.

It looks like positive pressure and filters on RV03 would be a good solution, and I find myself intrigued by it's features, but not enough to be happy with a large jump in temps or noise.

How good do the filters work?

Also, is it a pain removing top panel to access IO ports?

Any other feedback for Raven Rv03 vs HAF932 is welcome!

I would go with the RV02 if you're looking at the rotated cases. Get the E revision though because it allows up to 5 HDDs instead of only 3, and I believe they put better fans in it. I'm not sure what else got changed. But the look and overall build quality of the 02 is just better in my and others' opinions. The 03 has a ton of plastic.

But anyway, the Raven series is known to be pretty much the best air cooling cases out there. Just don't expect to be able to fit much water cooling stuff in there if you ever decide to switch. It's a specialized case.

The only thing I don't care for is that there's no windowless version available for some reason.

I went from an haf932 to my rv02... If i waited a little bit longer i'd probably of gone with the rv03. Either way imho if all you plan on doing is air cooling, then don't hesitate the raven series is the case for you. Just be warned if down the line you want to go water cooling then you're going to be looking for another case again. hope that helps.

And as for Silverstone filters, they strike the best balance between filtering finer particles and air flow to me. It's a relatively fine mesh, but the air flow is still good. I use them on the modded side panel on my Cosmos.

I'm actually probably buying a Raven in the near future.

As for which one's better made thats pretty subjective I guess. But they both have the same amount of plastic really......

Not according to almost all the reviews and threads I've read, but to each their own I suppose.

The filters work well on my RV02, and since they're pretty similar design on the RV03 I'd imagine they work well too. The top cover is only a pain if you're regularly moving stuff around up there.
Plus it's a pretty quiet case.

I would also recommend the RV02 over the RV03, unless space is at a premium.

RV02-E is my vote

RV03 I really dislike the PSU setup since I have my PC on the desk and the exhaust port blows on my hand and mousepad area, the front bays are a nightmare to configure with those cages and bezels look bad with drives in them.

Idk what reviews your reading but they both have a steel frame with a plastic front bezel and plastic top cover. Like I said, as to which one is made better, that's pretty subjective.

I considered rv02, but it won't fit on my pedestal and the window orientation means I'd have this mobo's stupid bright lights shining on me / my monitor.

No plans to water cool. I'm happy with air and mild OC. Did you notice any changes in gpu / cpu temp when you changed to rv02? I have read that rv02 and 03 cool about the same due to higher rpm fans (air penetrator- but I have read QA issues with those where they hit the case and break)

RV03 in general seems to have quite a few QA issues. Considering this rig has about reached the limits of it's upgrades, maybe I'll just wait for RV04 and do whole new build
