Performance

Four computing cores work under the umbrella of the Fusion APU A series, A6-3410MX (1.6-2.3 GHz) and a HD 6520G incorporated in the APU in the Pavilion dv6-6110eg. A dedicated HD 6750M is connected to this. The processing cores can now also overclock at AMD (Turbo Core 2.0). An APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) is a main processor with an incorporated graphics unit. Consequently, CPU, GPU and video as well as other hardware accelerators are united on one die, like in the Intel Core processors.

Didn't see much news about mobile line of llano so thought i post.

It seems to have some driver problems with most games in that review with hybrid crossfire enabled not working properly therefore losing performance in gaming, but the dedicated gpu still kicks ass that price range! Dedi gpu still should be more then sufficient for 720p gaming even without the crossfire, but it be whole lot better if we were able use the hybrid crossfire:D.

I need a release date. I've been telling my sister to wait for these Llano laptops for weeks now. Hopefully I'm giving her good advice and these turn out good.

Looks like you can build it out with the 6755G2, 8 GB RAM, 1080p non-glossy screen, 2x usb3, and blue ray for about $850 with an easy-to-find-on-google 30% off coupon code.

Price and features compared to my four year old laptop are tempting me to overlook the prospect of drivers not maturing until the trinity platform rollout.

We've had a few arrive at the store I work at, a little too expensive imo, but we've only received the HP's so far, they start at $749 for the dv6-6104ca, and go up to $1099 for the top of the line A8 model.

Quite the garbage review for GPU performance.

Oh hai, we'll only mention when it fails, never when it beats the 540m comparison.

Biased review is biased.

You can find ones from Lenovo, HP, Toshiba, Gateway, I think Acer and probably others I'm unaware of out now. I believe the cheapest I've seen was Gateway with the A4(dual-core one) for around $480 on newegg.

Best Buy has for $680 dv6-6135dx that includes the:
  • A8-3500M (1.5GHz to 2.4GHz)
  • Dedicated 6750M graphics
  • 6GB DDR3 1333 RAM
  • 640GB 5400RPM HDD
  • blue-ray player/dvd writer
I played with one today and it is interesting. It has full QUERTY keyboard and numberpad - I'm not sure I can get used to that? The flex when torquing the screen was about half of the HP g4 version.

I saw an HP g4-1117dx that had the A4-3300M and is $380, but I was in a rush to see the above system and didn't check all the information. I was able to really flex the screen.
