!! Does is matter which paint I use?

I want to paint the inside of my Antec 300 Illusion tower a flat black. Does it matter what kind of paint I use?

UPDATE: Look at my latest post:

It won't matter too much. Just make sure that if you paint behind the motherboard that the paint can withstand the heat. There's some extremely cheap paint that will only hold up to about 50c. I'm not sure if this would be a good idea if you plan on running 24/7.

I like Krylon or Rustoleum if your looking for brand preferences.

Valspar is the absolute worst spray paint I have ever used... I'd keep my distance from them.

Krylon is one of the best, Lightly sand the part to pain and apply 2 or 3 coats. Very good paint doesn't come off easily.

+Rep for the suggestions! Thanks!

Is there any paint I can't use because of an adverse side-effect when close to electronics? Can I just pick any spray-paint+primer (that withstands 50º C) for metal surfaces and go at it?

If you go to Advanced Auto, Home Depot, or Lowes for the paint they can tell you what will and will not work. Just make sure that the paint is metal compatible. Some paint is only for wood/plastic, but most of them accept tons of different surfuces.

Krylon makes the "Ace" brand spray paint and they have a paint that withstands up to 800 degrees continuous. It is also in flat black Only problem is it's more than normal paint. Here is a link for amazon http://tinyurl.com/idaWHALE500

Thanks for the link, but...is there any reason at all for 800º C heat resistance?

no real need for 800C resistance.

just get paint. doesn't matter if you use primer. make sure you sand after you primer and then coat it with several coats.

good luck and have fun!

Krylon, Plasti-Kote, or Duplicolor!

I used Duplicolor on my HAF and it turned out well. I might at some point break the case down again and touch up spray and do clear coat because i never did that
