Sony Bravia Subtitles

Thread Starter
Hey all,

My dad recently bought a Sony Bravia 37EX720 TV, it has a build in media player. I converted my mkv to ts files. Some of those have subtitles embedded in them. but for the TV isnt able to display them:( does any know how I can get them to show. I was thinking about streaming the subtitles into the video stream.

Yours,

Rexel.

PS. I am using TwonkyServer as Media Server to stream the TS file to the TV.

I'm guessing the TV can't read subtitle files within the container. What you'll have to do is re-encode the video so that the subtitles are hard-coded rather than embedded as a .srt file(or whatever subtitle type it is)

I haven't hard coded subtitles in awhile, but I think you can use xvid4psp to do it, then if you need .ts, use TSMuxer
