I was looking at 2.1, but 5.1 is nice at this price.

Swan M10, or some AV40/A2/BX5a/D1080MKII08 (2.0) would sound considerably better. For surround at that price, I don't really know of any. That said, I wouldn't sacrifice sound quality for surround. 2 good speakers > 5.1 poor speakers in my opinion. For surround, I'd definitely spend some more and get a receiver HT setup.

No Swan products available.
I thought so, I've asked about such speakers before with no good answer. Just can't really be done at this price.
I want to agree with this, but I have no problem with how the X-530s sound and 5.1 is awesome. I love surround. I do plan to use my AD700s for gaming, so 2.0/2.1 could be superior for music needs. I'll see what I do.
I don't have more.

I guess we all agree that I should get the speakers and sell them for profit if I decide not to use them, right?

And yeah i was just about to say this. I have Logitech Z-2300 and am growing to hate them. Thing about speakers now-a-days is that people want loud bass and all this crap. When really quality sound is not a ton of thumping bass and loudness.

Mhm. It's up to you to decide what's more important; surround or stereo quality.

How well do the A2s handle bass? One of my friends told me to get Cerwin Vega speakers, I was looking at the VE-5Ms which are in the same price range as the A2's, but aren't active. I guess you need some kind of amp for passive speakers, right? What would be a good cheap amp?

Yes, you'd need an amp for passive speakers, but I don't have enough experience to comfortably suggest one. The A2s actually have very nice bass for a 2.0 system, better than most every other 2.0 setup I've heard. Nothing can replace the "boom" of a dedicated sub though.

A cheap amp or receiver in Denmark? I have no idea.

The A2s have no bass response at all, they definitely need a subwoofer.

I'd have to disagree on "no bass response at all". That's flat-out wrong. Unless you listen to dubstep/hiphop/etc. they're perfectly fine.

So my dubsteb and d'n'b won't work well with those?

Well, that kinda conflicts with what Narzon said...
