Quick question: mounting SSD drive in case

Thread Starter

I need to get my SSD into a 3.5" bay and I know I need a mount. I've got a crucial m4 64gb if that helps. I've found these so far:

Will either work? Or do I need to look elsewhere?

Any kit like that should work. The mounting hole dimensions are standardized. Just go with what you like.

I've also just seen people duct tape them in a hidden place in the case for an extra clean look. You can hide them behind the motherboard tray etc.

I'm fairly certain that they're all universal. I went with a cheapy silverstone bracket and it worked out fine for my kingston ( i did have to mash some threads down with a screwdriver though to allow for my toolless hdd tray to latch onto the converter).

What Epitope said. Any mounting kit will work, and in the meantime, you can pretty much put it anywhere. You can set it on top of your F3 if you want, so long as you're cautious of it if you have to move your case.

Yep any 3.5" to 2.5" should do just fine.
What I did in my case was get a 5.25" adapter that houses a slim burner + a 2.5" drive

(kinda had to since I gutted the 3.5" cage for a radiator + moved my 3.5"s to bottom bays)
