so i had this problem before.

it says windows could not boot up so its gonna restore. i let it restore but at the end it tell me it "failed to restore at this time" "want to send info to microsoft?" so thats in i do the recommended option.

if i go to the start windows normally it goes to blue screen and shuts off. what is happening??

also i tryed to boot from a usb with ubuntu to see if that would work and it wouldnt. untill i unplugged my hdd then ubuntu will boot.

if you have the windows install disc, could try put that in and see if it boots from the dics, if yes, then it's probably your os that's corrupted, then just try use the disc to fix the os
