Thanks. 64-bit WHS 2011 should be arriving in the mail this afternoon. I will be interested to see if the newer version does a better job of power management.

Played around a bit this weekend. First, WHS2011 installed fine. But I had tons of problems on the clients. The smartest thing you can ever do is just buy a fresh HD.

Let's just say I am back to the old version of WHS.

When saturating the network the CPU is between 18 and 24% utilization.

Is it because of the Drive Extender huh?

nope. couldn't get the connector working.

I have a 3 hour limit on getting any new technology working. I have so little free time that if I can't get something working I abandon; maybe I pick it up at a later time.

Hmmm... I ended up testing this myself last night. I was hitting 80-90% CPU usage on a single core during a download on an overclocked Zacate. I might install a better NIC for off-loading.

What happened exactly? I thought about migrating to WHS 2011 myself. It couldn't find the server?
Once again...

Finds the server, does the install, then comes up with an "unexpected error".

I could map to it, access it via remote console but could not load the connector.
