Fallout Input lock up

Thread Starter

Basically what's in the video.

I've scoured google and found nothing that helped me.

It does this whether I'm sitting in the title screen or playing in game.

Yes but that wouldn't make input freeze.

If it was unstable it could cause it to lock up when under load aka mental mouse movements e.c.t.

Have you primed the computer to test for stablitly?

It's not under too much load.

If I listen to musc when I launch fallout, then keep playing till this happens, the music continues to play to problem.

I can alt + tab just fine and alt + f4 to quit fine too.

I installed the latest New Vegas and that works just fine. With the occasional crash that is.

I completely wiped Fallout 3 and reinstalled. Now I crash as soon as the first slide goes.

Alright, it appears that when I reinstall, it crashes. Then when I patch to 1.7, I get the input lock up thing.

Did you try what I posted above even though you're only running a dual core? Worth a try I guess, sounds kinda like the problems I was having..

I've already tried the threads thing and that didn't do anything.
