What more of a proof can ANYONE possibly provide? If we go with your argument and logic, no one can EVER provide enough evidence for ANYTHING. Unless you suggest that I were to take the card myself to XFX in person and and record as a video of me handing my physically-perfect card?

I dunno how else to explain it. Taking a pic when you bought the card doesn't = proof that you sent it in undamaged. Them showing you a pic of the cap missing isn't proof that some jerk on their end sabotaged your card.

The cap is missing, who knows how that happened. It's like chess, it's going to fall to UPS cuz after they deny causing the damage... what are you going to do? Do you expect them to say oh yea, Johnny XFX you've been a bad boy? C'mon?

That is exactly why I'm not taking your great advice to storm off to UPS and ask them to pay for a damage for which it couldn't even have occurred during the transit! Talk about Raff Out Roud!

Given what I've posted, and, yes, I ask you to assume that they're all true regardless of whatever doubts you have, what other conclusion would you come to? A small, "sturdy" capacitor cap/resistor just came off during the transit? Like, with pin-point accuracy to just THAT single cap/resistor?

If you cannot think logically, please do not post at all? If the card's edges were bent, then maybe I could get onto it with UPS. But a cap/resistor coming off? Something that the manufacturer believes to have been yanked off? And I am here to give you the truth on MY end that when I shipped, the cap/resistor was there. And no, it wasn't dangling or anything.

I hope you find something better to do than bag on this thread like you've been doing since day 1, giving nice "advices."

WOW!

This is why I continue to NEVER buy XFX products. Who in their right mind would support these jerks.

Yeah those little things don't just pop off unless the card wasn't packed correctly. Either a defective solder joint or someone at XFX damaged it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, it's a long thread and I may have missed something, but I think he took the pic AT the ups store right before he sent it back for rma. That in itself should weigh heavily in his favor because it indicates that the card was undamaged at the ups store he was sending it out of.

No matter how you slice it if XFX received the box with holes punctured in it and the card was damaged, they should (would?) have told him this. To simply state the card was defective and deny the RMA means that either the OP mailed the card with the defect or XFX damaged it during testing and inspection.

I don't believe the OP sent in a defective card, he has a picture of the card before shipping. The box was obviously not damaged during transit or XFX would have told him and suggested to file a claim with UPS. This only leaves one conclusion... XFX damaged the card and are denying his RMA claim for damage they caused.

If anyone starts a boycott XFX petition or club here on the forums let me know. I will sign up. They will get no more sales from me, ever.

Its those stones yu used instead of bubble wrap probably knocked it off. Maybe the box was dropped in the point of a diamond thus penetrating and damaging the cap without any 'splash' damage.
But really in all seriousness. Someone should collaberate all these XFX RMA denials for poor excuses and send the evidence in. See what they make of the RMA department, of course this was damaged on their end, no 2 ways about it. You have pictures or evidence and their argument would not hold up in any court of law.

Wow, it's no wonder companies like XFX pull this crap, look at all the people that will jump to their defense and blame the buyer. This is not an isolated incident, XFX is notorious for denying RMAs. All evidence I see points to the fact that the OP did NOT damage the card. Any company worth anything would just give the buyer the benefit of the doubt and RMA the stinking thing. They offer a double lifetime warranty, if they want to go back on that the burden of proof is on THEM to show the buyer damaged the item. When all signs point to that not being the case and they still deny the RMA, that is a company to avoid.

And all this stuff about signing petitions of starting boycotts is pointless. I'm never buying ANYTHING from XFX just based off everything I have seen on this site. I don't care who is joining me in some boycott, I just care that they don't get any of my money.

I wish I'd discovered this site a few months ago, before I put two XFX HD 6970s into my build. I hope you find some kind of justice.
//and I really hope I don't run into any issues at all with my cards >.<;;
