XFX: Yet Another Warranty Denial - Page 22

The cap is missing, who knows how that happened. It's like chess, it's going to fall to UPS cuz after they deny causing the damage... what are you going to do? Do you expect them to say oh yea, Johnny XFX you've been a bad boy? C'mon?
There is your first mistake, he took the pics at ups mins before he sjipped the card.

Not going so well...

  3. Two and a half days after filing a request, still no response...
Wow, good luck with your RMA man! Let us know how it goes.

I can recommend EVGA - I have only had good experiences with EVGA ever, just fallow the rules and make sure you register your EVGA products with them online. Also know what your buying and that some (not all) products have lifetime warranty through EVGA - pay close attention to product numbers.

EVGA products cost slightly more, but you cant argue with excellent customer service. If they ever start manufacturing AMD video cards I will really be happy.
I'm looking to save up/camp out for a GTX 460 deal if this doesn't come through at the end. Will likely choose EVGA, based on how much that brand has been recommended so far!

You are right. I've just edited a line in the OPost saying that the first three photos were indeed taken AT the UPS store, ~10 minutes prior to the receipt showing as shipped.

My simple mind is wondering what prompted you to take pictures at the UPS store before sending it.....I actually have never thought of doing that and have never done it. Although, there were only a few things I RMA in recent times - A 6870 that I sent back to newegg, a I-Inc monitor back to circuit city, and a stick of RAM to G-skill.

Probably the same reason I video tape my unboxing of everything I buy, especially motherboards. I don't upload them anywhere, but I've had a board come with bent pins and it was a PAIN to get them to RMA it. So now everything gets combed over in a video that includes me breaking the seal to the package.

I read this before I bought the graphics card... And was aware that some craip could occur with my RMA. And plus, when I help my dad ship out electronic components worldwide, he has me take pictures upon opening and packing items... with a camera, lol.

Anyways, I will not be able to access the net til the weekend is over. Thanks to many for advices and supports so far!

I had a Diamond 5770 that needed RMA. They did end up replacing the card for me but it took about a month which is ridiculous.

You should always document items you are sending fro insurance purposes. Always. You need proof of what you have sent and pictures of the items and of you packaging them go a long way. Also, receipt for the cost of the items. Always cover yourself as much as possible. That way if something goes wrong you have proof that you did not cause it.
