XFX: Yet Another Warranty Denial - Page 35

Then instead of returning a card that he said artifacted from day 1... he kept it past 30 days. ya ok. There's lots of interesting bits of stuff there open to interpretation don't ya think?

He also indicated that he was a student and other things in his life wee taking a front seat to him resolving his video card issue. The OP also indcated since he had a double lifetime warranty, he could put this issue on the back burner.

I do think the OP made some mistakes. I keep all the original boxing/antistatic bag/foam/etc. for cases just like this one, so if I do need to ship it back, they will get it how I got it. I also never cut the UPC for a rebate until I have used the product for at least 72 hours in it's basic form. But based on the information presented, how can someone make a claim that there is no way that XFX broke the card?

And as I stated, the XFX rep indicated that they didn't perform as they should have. I've never owned an XFX product, and this might be 1 bad seed in a 100,000, but what if I were that one? What if I didn't do anything to the card and they didn't honor the warranty claiming I broke it, knowing well enough that I didn't? You'd be singing another tune if it happened to you.

If those pics are when he got the card, thats another reason to not buy xfx. Dirty out of the box? Dam talk about quality control. Ive owned lots of xfx products too. 7600gt, 8600gt, 8800gts, gtx 275, 5770, 780i mb and my psu.

780i was purchased 2nd hand from another country and they allowed a us rma(not standard policy). Even with that I will not buy another xfx product. When you have the type of troubles lots of people are having it kinda makes you not want to take that chance.

If the card was shipped dirty, and they opened it to find it broken, do you really expect them to clean it?

Than when I asked if it was true to the xfx rep on here he acts like that was never to be released to the public.

What you need to do is take some tome and read the magnison moss act. Its pretty cut and dry. They, xfx that is, violated the m.m. Act plain and simple. That is why they will loose wjen NCspec sues there butt. For god sake, the friggin residue they denied his rma for is in the dam newegg product pics, how stupid can you get.

Forgive my speling errors, im on my phone

Just to reiterate, NCspec did not call for a ban of xfx, people got pissed about the responses from xfx and that is wjat made the thread explode so big. So I ask, why is that NCspecs fauly? Why should he be blamed? Its there employees actions that screwed them.

Wait... so im curious what happend to NCspec i found his thread here and the thread Here saying he was banned... but what infractions did he do?? was it related to the XFX warranty? went though all 82 pages and his posts didnt really seem.. band material, didnt really get what happens to cause a ban sorry just curious on what happened

OR, because we have NO pictures right before the OP shipped it, the OP got it dirty before he sent it to XFX.

He's making a joke, albeit a bad one referring to Nvspec.

I'm lost.

IF the OP has no pictures of his card before he sent it to XFX, we could assume it was dirty and broken before he sent it.

Taking a short time to check my emails (and seeing PMs), but just to clarify, the first three pictures are of the card right before I sent it to XFX. And yes, it was dusty and broken (not physically, however) prior to sending it.

I think a member noted that the card seems to have been cleaned, and I, too, wonder why they would bother to clean/dust it out if they noticed the physical damage right from the get-go. I obviously don't know.

Thanks to all,
Johnny
