Sorry tsm, but you've been onto bag on me since day 1. I've never said that the pictures were from when I bought the card. You can probably fish through the old comments and find out in my responses to other people.

Please, I'm really new to this forum, but do try to keep and maintain a bit of professionalism and not spread lies because your favorite company is under fire. I only ask you to try.

I did contact Ryan Dumas, a floor manager the day I posted this thread.

However, there were some mistakes made on our end, primary the original packaging was discarded, and pictures of the box and the internal packing material were not taken, which is normal protocol for something like this. For that reason I will work to get this unit replaced.

Ill have to work on the details tomorrow morning.

I have briefly read through and caught up to the posts. First of all, thank you for coming to the forum and contacting/talking to other members and their concerns as well as mine. Please do PM/email the official words, as I wouldn't want to try to to fish through the comments for yours. While I am glad that a replacement might be coming, my thoughts are on with some (Know. One, for example) who expressed that it could really happen to anyone and a case like this shouldn't be made.

Regardless of this case, I do want to thank you, XFX, for your continued support. I do think of this RMA as an unfortunate event, but hopefully nothing more and nothing less. And that can happen with any company.

@Aziani,
I did pack the card myself. I had UPS people help me out, and really, that was getting me tape so I have my hands wrapping and checking to see that everything was all good to send.

We don't discuss things like why specific members are (or are not) banned from OCN. But I'll address the gist of this question.

A member gets banned for repeated violations of the OCN Terms Of Service, such that they acquire 10 infractions (which in most cases don't occur until you've been warned twice about your breaking a specific Term of Service), or they accumulate 20 'active points' (each infraction carries an amount of 'points', and they are 'active' for varying lengths of time depending on the severity of the infraction, typically they are 30-120 days).

If you're asking whether or not a member will be banned just because they start up a crusade against some Hardware manufacturer, the answer to that is No. We are not 'in the back pocket' of big corporations or anything like that, this site is here for members to discuss computers matters, related to both hardware and software.

Sometimes these discussions may involve members talking back and forth at length about being treated unfairly by hardware or software makers, and that is totally permissible and will not subject you to disciplinary action in and of itself ... provided it is done in an honest manner, and the ToS are adhered to in the process

Might I inquire how you contacted Ryan? I only ask as he has not been an XFX employee since April. So if there is old contact information for him somewhere I would need get it taken down.
Maybe he attempted to make contact. I do know there are some pieces of information out there about XFX aka Eastcom inc. that does reflect Ryan Dumas as contact information.
I'm extremely happy with XFX right now.

They sent my RMA replacement (upgraded from a 4890 to a 6850) overnight

EDIT: Though I will miss that 4890

lucky git lol care to donate one of those cards you have

any way OP i had a XFX HD 4650 1GB a had it for a couple of months bought it on 18/12/10 when i started to play games with it i noticed it wouldn't process in game textures or details shadows ect properly i first sent it to the retailer under there warranty they then sent it to XFX for repair/replacement

XFX then contacted me as retailer told them to contact me i was told card was fine they tested it by running games ect i know that was a load of BS
the card was faulty i sold it on after getting it back it even had issues with videos

im never ever going to use a XFX product switched to sapphire never looked back only one card break with them and that was my HD 3870x2 but that was due to a issue with some devices shorting out in my case

I take that back. It was FedEx being stupid. XFX used quite possibly the slowest shipping possible, FedEx Home Delivery. While they will deliver on Saturdays, it takes 7 business days

FedEx still says my card is supposed to be delivered today even though it's not even in the state and it's 7:30
