I thank-you for the response. Nowadays it's nice to be able to communicate with a company rep. and get real answers
+Rep.

Corsair has always been good for that, for years they have been helping customers sort out their memory timings, etc.

Good move with the optional 120/140mm mounting points on the 500R

I do like the look of this case.
And having a price tag of $100 (£60), it's very appealing.

However, a few weeks ago I took a gamble and bought a CM 690 II instead, for £60 ($100) (So I can still fit the new H100)
I'm glad I made this purchase, as the 400r is now available to order on at least 2 well known UK sites, priced at:
Amazon: £80 ($130)
EBuyer: £95 ($150)

Don't get me wrong, I love Corsair, I'm just a little disappointed that the 400r turned out to cost a fair bit more than they stated - and what seemed to be a strong selling point of the 400r.

This isn't meant as a complaint, just an observation

Thanks.

The costs will come down in time - everything is a bit higher priced when it launches.

Here in Singapore Corsair is EXTREMELY over priced, here a H60 costs $125 USD and the 400R priced at 130+ . Good thing I just bought a h60 and some vengeance ram in Ireland, brought the price down by $40 , the cm690 II is priced higher than the 400R in Singapore so I'm still heading for the 400R

I'm hoping for a price drop in Australia. Our dollar is higher than USD currently (has been for a while) and the white 600t is still $200+ AUD, on newegg it;s $169 after rebate

I am torn between waiting for 500R or buying a 600T SE. Can you offer any insight? Advantages or disadvantages of either case?

I feel your pain. $109 for my H60 is $119 USD

Yeah, my build which I'm planning on building when I get back could be built for over $200 less in the US, it's incredible.

Well as Singapore is so small it only has one distributor of corsair equipment so there is no competition meaning they get to price it as high as they like. But it's worth the extra cash, corsair make wonderful products and I'm hoping mine will all work or else RMA to Taiwan
