Whose got the best service/warranty/reliability among ATI cards? - Page 5

I had to RMA a Sapphire 5770 through the company a couple weeks after putting it my rig because it was discontinued on Newegg (good deal though). I sent a detailed email to the support explaining what was going on, the different tests I did, and my exact system configuration, and he got me hooked up with an RMA number the same day. Total time from mail to new card was a week or less, and the card they sent me is working perfectly 6 months later.

I am curious about HIS through - I'm interested in its 6970 2 gb but don't know much about the company's reputation.

Good luck with whichever you choose!

Powercolor cards look absolutely disgusting though.. why would anyone want a red PCB with an ugly cooler?

Performance>looks

Powercolour only has Red on their custom PCB. Their stickers are cool, and if it weren't for my custom Miyuki Takara stickers, I'd still have the stock ones.

What the heck is wrong with XFX. The give you a double lifetime warranty which makes the warranty transfer when you sell it.

Varies - This thread is mainly a troll war where people just recommend the brands they use.....

Myself I would not recommend Gigabyte, they require proof of purchase and totally missed my problem when I RMA'ed a graphics card. Had to send it in twice.....

Some people have had problems with XFX "faking" product damage.

It all comes down to personal experience - I would go with whichever product is best with a good price and if you have RMA problems just don't use them again. I can guarantee people here have had a problem with all manufacturers when put together.

I've used a couple different brands from the ATi side:

VisionTek
Sapphire
Powercolor
HIS

They all have served me well. I recently just bought a VisionTek 6970 and I have to say it's probably my favorite so far:

Simple black and it works. Never really cared much for the weird graphics on the ATi cards.
