What about BF3/MW3 on HD6790?

Do you think the HD6790 will be able to run BF3/MW3 on playable FPS and "playable settings"?

low to medium it should. Your x2 will make the 6790 bottleneck hard though.

Yes it should do just fine. You should be able to play Mw3 maxed out no problem.

Bf3, Depending on if you play DX9, 10, or 11, will play accordingly. 11 you can probably hit high-ultra (not max) setting's with 30+fps.

Now if you plan on playing this with your Athlon II x2 250 and 2gb of RAM, good luck with that. Battlefield needs a fine processor to run optimally as well. Or you can just try overclocking your processor. Even then, you still get a bottleneck if you get a 6790. you will also need at least 3gb of RAM, as far as I have noticed it uses up more RAM when I hit the setting's higher.

MW3 will be fine as long as it's not ported like Black Ops was.

You are going to want to get a quad core for BF3. With a 6970, you'll want a quad core anyways as your CPU will be the bottleneck.

Oh, and BF3 doesn't support DX9 ^

6790 is way different than 6970.

Yes, I know. I apologize, I read it wrong. Quad core for BF3, however; is still a good idea.
