Blue Screen at different times

Thread Starter
I just built this computer in my sig rig. I have gotten a BS one time while installing OS, while downloading games from steam, while playing a game, and while doing a benchmark of steam. All drivers were up to date when 3 of the four happened for chipset, bios, and video card.

Is there any way I can isolate what piece is not working?

Memory wasnt in supported list but came packaged with Mobo in Newegg combo deal, should I return just in case?

did you overclocked your cpu or ram?
please tell me the BSOD codes so i can tell you what is the problem.
Test your cpu with prime for half an hour.
Test your gpu with OCCT!

Wasnt hard to find another blue screen just had to do another game benchmark.

I did not overclock anything. Also OCCT I am getting like 200fps, should I use something alittle more intensive?

Let me know if I should still run a cpu and gpu test.

Do you have your memory set manually in the bios?
Or is everything on Auto?

I was getting less memory usable than installed. 8gb(4g usable), so I reseated the memory and now all 8gb are usable and BSOD have stop appearing for now.

Been running some GPU bench marks such as 3dmark11 and Furmark and havent had any BS pop up. Hopefully this fixed BS once and for all?

Yes it could have been the memory that was not seated properly.
