[Work Log] Diamond Polishing

Hell all, this is going to my build log for finally getting my PC the way I want with minor modifications after this build(hopefully). I've got a lot of ideas and knowledge from people here. You guys are awesome!!!wink.gif So lets take look back and see how my current rig started shall we.

76876478609924920509739.jpg
My first case was the NZXT Phantom white I named it "Storm Trooper"

img0014iw.jpg
This is it after a couple minor part switch outs, as you can see it's the start of my W/C obsession ninja.gif

dsc00797d.jpg

dsc00807nj.jpg
It was all downhill from here biggrin.gif

Then I got a new case
img0875l.jpg
img0876i.jpg

I named this rebuild "Black Diamond" drum.gif

Alas I still was not content, I needed to get my 580's under water and looking at the W/C Gallery thread here made me need it more. Some of these builds scratch that most of these builds had me in awe and I enjoy looking at them daily. So after saving up for about 4 months I'm ready to do my ultimate build, everyone that looks through here, I hope you like what I have planned, and I'm really hoping I get some awesome advice here too.

Thanks for looking everyone!! cheers.gif

So here's my part list for the new build I hope you guys like it. Everything is allready ordered just waiting for it to arrive. Plus i'm going to reuse the 120 and 240 Rad from current Rig.

Case : Corsair 800D with Custom Powder Coat job and some case mods commissioned by CyberDruid
Power Supply : Corsair AX1200
CPU WaterBlock : Koolance CPU-370
GFX WaterBlock : Koolance VID-NX580(2 of them)
Tubing : Feser UV Red 1/2" ID 3/4" OD
Another Rad : Black Ice GT Stealth 360
Pump : Swiftech MCP655-B which I'll be placing a BitsPower Mod kit on
Reservoir : Frozen Q liquid Fusion UV Red
Fittings : XSPC Low Profile compression fittings
Fans : Enermax Magma's hooked up to a Lampton FC Touch fan controller

I also got a bunch of Sleeved cable extensions, I don't know how to sleeve nor have the patience to try lol.

As I'm waiting for my case to get done I will be posting pics of my parts as they come in. Again any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

I thought he had retired. A custom powder coat case should look awesome what color?

How does the Feser tubing compare to PrimoChill?
Is the new rad red like the others?
Give the forum some reviews or impressions of those new enermax fans they are very interesting. Are you going to use them on your radiators?

With the cable extensions give them a little tug to make sure they are seated in the connector. Somtimes they are not and come loose.

can't wait to see how this turns out

Yea I asked him about a case mod a while ago and he said he was busy but will message me if he got some time to do some custom work. The Color is going to be Polar Anxiety which is a white with red hints in it. I can't wait to see the end result biggrin.gif

I haven't used the Primochill tubing on my current build I have tygon tubing(Very flexible and kinks easily) I heard good things about Feser Tubing. The new rad i'm getting is also Red. And yes the Fan's will be going on my rads.

I will definitely be letting everyone know my temps and performance of all my parts and hopefully my info will help other people. 1 of the reasons I choose the Enermax fans is because the blades come right off for cleaning and I loved how they looked in Kevins "Classy Machine" biggrin.gif

yup these fans looks really neat and at a good price. plus they use the magnetic motor for silence and also are easily detachable if anyone wanted to paint them.

only other fan I know that uses that is sunon maglev

I'm wondering If I should get the 980x processor while I'm at it, but I only use my Rig for Gaming, Music, Photo editing and Internet. Thoughts?

I would scratch the Feser red tubing. I have samples of every red tubing available and none of them are a "real" red. The best tubing is Primochill LRT and their red is not that good.

If you want real red, go with clear tubing and get Mayhems red dye.

I would also suggest the EK top over the BP.

I hear nothing buy Horror stories with Dye's though, and I really like the performance of the EK block but I absolutely love the look of the Koolance block
