That's what this place is for sir, the helping part, not the hilarity part, though, it's quite fun sometimes.

The above sentence needs more commas.

I'm just imagining if you didn't ask... You would have bought it, installed it, then smoked it in 4 seconds flat. It has NO cooling system on its own. It needs water flowing through the block to keep it cool or it will go up in smoke, literally.

hehe ya dude i saw something on new egg saying it required cooling. Thanks though no water for me.

of course you COULD get a modded H50 and hook that up to it or mod it yourself?...but thats silly for this purpose.

Its funny to read newegg feedback when someone realizes what it actually is that they purchased is not at all what they thought they were getting

go for the 570s in SLI. The 570s in SLI will beat a single 580. So you will at least come close to the performance of a 590.

If you haven't built a computer before, stick with air cooling for now, and if you want to go water later, do a bunch of reading in the water cooling section and you will slowely start to understand all the techno mumbo jumbo people talk.
Just take it slow with going to extreme on your computer.

I would even say maybe start with a single 570 and get a second one later once you understand everything better.

Get a 6990, specially if you are to watercool. That card kicks the 590s butt. 590s fail at overclocking, are throttled, and even watercooled are still beat by 6990s.

He said he isn't going to watercool now though.

OP, if you don't mind noise and don't need/want 3D Vision / PhysX , do get the 6990, since it's faster and won't die as easily when overclocked. It is also cheaper than the 590, the only downside is that it is quite loud.

What monitor are you going to use by the way?
