I'm sick of this carpberry. Its slow and freezes too much. Found a droid 1 for $80 in the marketplace. My upgrade is in late january next year.

$80 worth it?

Depends on what you want to do. I have had one since it came out...installed a bunch of apps that slowed it down then I deleted everything and it's still pretty slow. Rooted it and OC'd and it's pretty laggy still. Not sure if it'll be better than your BB.

I would buy it, root it, flash it with cyanogenmod, and overclock to 1200mhz and call it a day. The only down fall of this phone is the fact that is it limited on Ram. so it does slow down a little bit, but I would say for 80 dollars it would be a great replacement.

EDIT: i currently have a moto D1, and It is rooted and flashed to cyanogenmod 7.1.0 RC1.
The droid 1 is super easy to root also. I love mine.

you might be able to find one if you are lucky, but the D1 is a pretty beastly phone once you get it overclocked to like 1000mhz. The Droid incredible is also a really great phone once you get it rooted and reflashed.
The key to making your phone fast is two things, reflash to a fresh copy of custom software, and setup supercharger script on it.

NOOO!!!! lol.

Actually if you leave them both stock the droid 1 is not as good, but as soon as you root the droid 1, it walks all over the droid 2. My phone is way faster then my moms stock droid 2 global, which is running at 1.2ghz stock speed, and my phone is running at 800mhz.

Rooting makes the phone. The droid 2 is really hard to root and such, so I would stick with the droid 1.

I have a milestone since they came out. Rooted.

Little laggy even OC'd at 800 and 1000 so I always leave mine at 800 and only tried 1000 a few times. I'm not sure what long term effects running at 1200 all day every day might cause though. Could be a great deal if it's been taken care of, or a pain if the battery only lasts a few hours and the CPU is wore out from being run at 1200 24/7

I'll match or beat your price for my droid if you hit me up via pm http://www.overclock.net/mobile-comp...-w-extras.html

But yeah, usually it's more expensive on swappa or ebay or anywhere else... And I couldn't find anything other than the original droid at that price point when I was looking around. Mines already rooted and has cyanogenmod installed, never tried overclocking it though.
