Little laggy even OC'd at 800 and 1000 so I always leave mine at 800 and only tried 1000 a few times. I'm not sure what long term effects running at 1200 all day every day might cause though. Could be a great deal if it's been taken care of, or a pain if the battery only lasts a few hours and the CPU is wore out from being run at 1200 24/7
actually I wouldn't be worried about the CPU being "worn" out. The CPU in the droid 1 and the droid 2 is actually the same chip, just clocked higher. My cpu runs 1266mhz, which is the highest I can get it without building a custom kernal. I haven't found any kernals that go higher then 1266mhz, and it doesn't really effect my battery life at all. You just setup your phone to downclock when the screen is off and when it is below a certain battery charge level.

I got my Droid X free for reupping my plan with Verizon and I got a free $100 gift card from Dell.

What is hilarious is now dell hardly offers anything now for Verizon stuff. I lucked out.

No don't buy a droid.
