'Best' RAID-0 3-Drive Stripe size?

Thread Starter
Made the jump to putting my 3 500GB drives in RAID 0, and I'm not sure I did it right. Using ICH10R on my mobo, set the stripe size to 128kB, but is that large enough? Read speeds are around 140MB/s sequential, but a fair deal slower with random, as well as write speeds. All drives are 7200RPM and have at least 16MB of cache.

One's an older Maxtor, another is a WD5000AAKS, and the last is a Hitachi DeskStar.

Mixing drives in RAID - not my favourite thing to do since they all have different read and write speeds as well as faster and slower random and seek times... Could be that one of the drives is really slow and all the other drives have to lag behind - causing conflicting issues.

Because I get that read on my RAID 0 with two 7200rpm Seagates if I'm not mistaken.
