[Work Build] Need some input

Hey guys trying to build my dad a new machine (his is a complete dinosaur). He is wanting to just use it for work (school teacher) nothing strenuous at all, just wanting to make sure it will work for him for a good long time. I was thinking the budget was around 500-550 and right now I am a little over. Just wanted some opinions to make it maybe a little cheaper but still what he wants.

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138319 99.99
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115076 184.99
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231427 (43.99) Not included in the price as I already have this part
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136795 59.99
PowerSupply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371016 54.99
Video: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161315 69.99
DVD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827135204 19.99
OS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116986 99.99
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E1681114715349.99

639.99

Basic questions are:
What video card should I get if he is just looking to work with dual monitors?
He is kind of set on getting an i5 quad core processor, is it necessary though?
Any concerns with this build or overkill in general?
Worth talking him into an SSD (even though it will add price) if I also use his old drive that is currently in his computer?

Thanks in advance for help

well cheapest way.. will be

AMD A8-3850 Llano 2.9GHz (( quad core )) and graphic card at same time + motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.676658 244$

together including your part 470$
btw there is a way getting os free

this will work just fine for work.. watching videos movies etc and video gaming

or
AMD phenom 955 119$
+ motherboard.. 100$
and nvidia gtx 550ti 130$ dual monitor or amd radeon 6770 130$ dual monitor

now its up to you..

Never really messed with AMD processors, always have been intel. Where does that Llano compare to the i5?

Also correct me if I am wrong but both of those graphic cards seem overkill. Does the graphic card in OP not dual screen? This is basically the only requirement of the video card.

Also that MoBo in the bundle is not compatible with the RAM I already have it doesnt look like.

Well, it wont compare to the 2500K, but for a work processor with no heavy graphical ability needed, it's pretty good.

You wont need a video card; the A8-3850 has a Radeon HD6550D GPU on the die.

EDIT: Didn't know you needed Dual-Screen. I can't say with the Llanos.
