Help me utilize everything!

Thread Starter
I am jumping in the OC bandwagon (finally) just because I have decided to dedicate my computer for folding.

First things first, I need to be able to OC my CPU. I would like a 4.0 to run 24/7.

Second, I would like to utilize my ram to the best of it's ability. I've been running them at 1373 mhz even though they're rated for 2000mhz. Also been running them at Cas 9. I would like to tighten them as well as be able to run them faster.

Thanks and I hope to hear from yall soon. Btw I've read about OC'ing for quite some time but always gave up so please don't link me to the same old guides. I've most likely have read them. Help me for I am an idiot when it comes to this stuff. F@H HERE I COME!

First thing's first, and that's CPU cooling. Sure you could achieve 4Ghz with the stock cooler, but the temperatures are gonna skyricket, so imo you should think of investing into a cooler, then the 4Ghz is pretty much yours

This is just my 2 cent's and I hope I "revived" this thread so that someone that is more qualified can answer

But me personally, I get a decent cooler, google for common OC's for a processor and then just set it to that, if it's stable and the temperatures are normal I try if it works with lover Vcore, but other then that, that's pretty much it how I do it

Oh, so you are pretty much good to go
Just set the multiplier and watch it go
I don't think you would need to increase the voltage but if you do, try to keep it as close to 1.3V as you can. That's how I would do it.

Sadly I can't give you any advice on how to get the best out of your RAM, sorry
