A 570 overclocked to 850 MHz core will perform exactly like a stock 580.

Sorry but thats not quite true!
The 580 has better throughput, regardless of the 570's overclock.

Hey, no offense meant!

But if your gonna compare the 2, you also need to take into consideration the memory, size, bus speed, quality, processor cores....

& really, how long will that 570 last when the GPU is running at 900MHz????

Thats all.

I think at 820-850 a gtx570 matches a "stock" gtx580, but also an overclocked 560ti can match a "stock" gtx570. Who runs their stuff at stock speeds anyway!?! lol. A gtx 580 overclocked crushes whatever a gtx570 can do.

you have no clue do you ?
580 is only 15% ahead of 570 in most cases

To want to specifically "match a GTX 580" is not the OCN way. You should be focused on improving your GTX 570 VS your GTX 570 if that lands you on equal or greater performance to the stock GTX 580 so be it, it's just an interesting fact. Those who worry about e-peen don't realize that nobody else gives a damn.
