Ooops my bad. I totally thought those weren't passive. I'll obviously need some amplification. I may pick up a dayton 50 watt amp?
Actually, I have no clue why I thought those were powered book shelf speakers. How about this as my amp:
Also, I'm a bit confused, if I were to get a sub like this:
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...ource=googlepsWould I run the audio to my sub from my sound card, then pass through the sound through the sub to my speakers amp then to my speakers? Or, would I run the audio from my sound card to that 50 watt amp, then to the sub and the sub will pass that on to the speakers after filtering out the spectrum of sound that it can produce?
Also, an 80 watt sub seems really powerful, does anyone have some suggestions for a bit lighter of a sub, or do subs take more power to be loud as compared to running 50 watts to those speakers would be very very loud?
Basically, I have read a lot about these speakers, and am super interested in using them, so what I need is a small sub and amp to power the speakers, and my budget is around 550$...
I'm of course open to any suggestions for a sub / amp, and am definitely not set in what I want, but I'm fairly certain I want those speakers.
