Cooler Master PSUs are garbage for the most part. Check out Tator Tots recommended PSU guide. I'm really surprised to see people on OCN not bashing your choice.. Maybe it's the time of night or something?
A waste as in its not very good? or waste as in it's too overpowered? If its the second, thats what I want. Bacially some future proofing, since I dont upgrade all that regularly.

And I've had no problems with this PSU. It's quiet, and it powers everything with no problems. The only thing I dont like is the fact that the only Molex and SATA power leads it coms with are multiple ones. Makes cable management a *****, specially if I only need one connector, not three.

Your psu has poor ripple suppression. I would highly recommend a new psu.. you're potentially risking the rest of your system.
Having 3 connectors per cable is standard. You're going to get that with any psu and if your case has any type of cable management system it should be easy to get around.

The 2600k is only about 20% better in application performance as the only difference is the hyperthreading. Games don't take advantage of hyperthreading.. ht creates more heat so the 2600k cannot overclock as well as the 2500k. THis all means the 2500k is the cpu to get for gaming.
