I didn't read through the whole thread, but I would go for some lower voltage ram. Every little bit can help keep the temps down in an HTPC.

The motherboard can handle the CPU but not with any OC.
That PSU from the ratings looks good but I don't know the brand and I'm not sure.

The only thing i have concerns on is its a server PSU... all those review were for server owners not gamers... it may not be able to supply 500w...
Just a warning... wait til the PSU gurus get on here to be certain

That is true, typically there are two of those in the back of a server too. At least thats the way they are here at work. Some have more.

He's gonna supply me the money and I am going to build it. I do not honestly know when I will be able to start as it all depends on when he will have the money.
