Besides, I like my make my epeen as large as possible, and 3.7 instead of 3.65 achieves that. Even if my epeen is only 2 inches because I still own a Q6600.
Nothing wrong with a q6600 man. These cpu's are still beast, I won't be replacing mine until Ivy Bridge.

Well you've got to consider that a slightly unstable CPU would also result in lower performance.

For example, if I set the vcore on my 2500k to 1.25v but keep it at 4.5ghz, my gflops in IBT without AVX drop from 63 gflops to 51gflops, but I pass the tests no problem, and I get lower performance in games. Same thing with my old Q6600.

It'd be worth either bumping the voltage to get it completely stable, or dropping the speed that tiny bit.

Also @ KusH, I know what Q6600's are like thank you very much, I've owned 4, still have 1 of them.

I own a Q6600 atm and i never tried to get over 3.6Ghz with it. My chip is g0 qith 1.25000VID and i'm pretty sure i can get 3.8GHz easily.

Anyway i change for sandy bridge in a month or so... And ivy in a year =)

One advice: Don't try 4GHzm its really high for a daily clock on a Q6600. Anyway there is no big difference between 3.8 and 4.0GHz in game ( any diff i think) and you won't get much much more score in bench. Q6600 is already 4 years old >.<
