Someone suggested these parts when i asked about building a system under 300 dollars. Would i have any trouble at all with any of these parts? mainly worried about case/psu combo.

the case you picked is fine, full size with 500w psu
i wouldnt trust its psu with a sli/xfire setup but fine for single/onboard gpu build

if you can wait a few days on parts, get the ram from newegg

i rebuilt the office pc for around $200 ar

ram
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G $33

get a better motherboard, the amd boards with nvidia chipsets suck
if you need onboard video, get a 880g, the 4200 gpu supports hardware video acceleration, great for hd videos and some games

the samsung f3 is a great drive, but it was for $50 on newegg a while back

There is very little difference between Ph II x2 and Athlon II x2 performancewise, and I don't think you'd be unlocking on that mobo.
Here's an Athlon for the cheaps: http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0355993

I was thinking about that and ill probably switch to the Athlon II. My dad who works in denver said that microcenter was out of his way today lol so ill probably have to get it friday when i plan on visiting friends in denver.

Edit: Just remembered that with the athlon II the motherboard isn't free so it raises the price of the total build.

from the microcenter free boards with combo, you either get a geforce 7000 or ati 3000
both are poor for onboard video

id spend the extra $30 and get the Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...tml?sku=660340

thatll leave some room for overclocking
4+1 power, and the 4250 is very good

or maybe the extra $8 and get the x4 840 (2 more cores without the l3)

the onboard video will only be used for 2 weeks and ill have money to get a gfx card. probably something like 5770 or something.

Or would it just be smarter to get a netbook to satisfy my hunger for internet, and then build a respectable machine over the next month or so?
