If he hadn't said the words PSN when he got knifed, would you know the difference? I doubt it. Gameplay is probably going to be the same, just not the graphics.

Because with steam, no need to worry about taking discs out, putting them back in, etc. Its easier to move the game with steam, it's easier to update through steam, etc. Plus, its just nice having all your games in one spot.

Besides, he never said he was boycotting it for that reason. In fact, I can't imagine that many will.

Well i guess im alright with the removal of destoying buildings with the micro-destruction system, plus im excited about the rubble doing damage this time around. i hated it in bad comapny when something would fall on someone and nothing happened.

Plus my dreams of having someone fireing from a position bellow me and i shoot the wall to send debris towards tehm to suppress them if i dontr have sufficent weaponry... well im glad with this, as long as it is true, which it should be.

They did! Just got Game informer 3 days ago in the mail ad there Battlefield 3 E3 section was talking about that. Let me see if i can find the article.

Edit: Couldn't fine the article online but if anyone has the the new issue with "Dishornerd" as the the cover art go to page 66 and read 6-8 Paragraph about BF3

Edit 2: Took a picture with my phone. Hope you can see it lol.

Multiplayer Never requires disc to be in the drive or does single player for BF BC 2 90% chance it won't require it to be in for BF3 because its tied to an EA account.
BF has auto update every time the game launches it checks
The games installed on the hard drive.. Make an icon the desktop.. Faster then steam. I stated the boycott wasn't directed at him, and I want to be clear I am not a steam hater but as I stated above the people boycotting the game or stating game not being available steam making the game not being worth purchasing is absurd.

I keep spreading this idea as much as a i can hoping for DICE to notice it, and (if not implemented already) implement it.

On another note, i wish the gameplay had been on PC, so they could talk about the GUI and specially responsiveness and reg (if they implement some weird forced mouse acceleration and controls again i swear that's the end of BF for me). Those are some of the things that made BC2 frustrating.

I didn't know about the fact that the disk was not needed, but steam updates are still faster. It updates when you don't want to play the game, rather than when you launch the game.

As for boycotts, yes, its stupid if people do that. Very few will.

Support is the king of the new suppression fire system. Here, if someone is spraying you with bullets it puts your character under stress, something evinced with screen shake and blur. It's a subtle effect, but it means if you're getting battered by constant fi re you can't just pop out and fire off a clean headshot... well, not without substantial skill. You're also rewarded for suppression in the same way you are for spotting - with XP - adding further tactical depth. Now you're rewarded for keeping enemies pinned down while your teammates sneak, say, up a tunnel, or move to flank the opposition. It seems a small thing, perhaps, but when the community get hold of it, expect some smart, smart play.
This brings a tear to my eye.

I remember being in the UK Bad Company 2 forums and have many a discussion with people about OP'd LMGs and blah blah blah.

A lot of the time, the subject of not actually being able to suppress an enemy with an LMG (due to the fact that they can just pop up and fire back) was brought up, as well as the inability to use them prone. It was basically impossible to truly use an LMG for what it was meant for/the way it was meant to be used.

As an almost dedicated support gunner in Battlefield:2142, I was miffed with BC2s LMG implementation.

Being able to analyze the current situation, make a decision on where you need to create a wall of bullets and lay down suppressing fire from a fixed position (aka what you do with an LMG) is something that I seriously cant wait for.

SUPPRESSING FIIIIIIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG HHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
