[MR] MacBook Air Line Updated With Sandy Bridge, Thunderbolt and Backlit Keyboards - Page 13

All the mac hate is disgusting. I love my PC. My pc does things at a price that a mac could never do. However, there is something about macs. Their build quality is outstanding and flawless. The Macbook Air is perfect for taking notes in class. OS X Lion is even more perfect for my needs.

I'm not a hipster. I'm not a dumb, elitist college student. I'm someone who knows what I need and what I do and Apple knows this as well. I'll be selling my current Macbook in the next month to buy a new Macbook Air.

What can your PC do that a Mac can't??

I own both, and my mac can do everything my PC can, except hard core gaming.

PC/Mac can co exist... i don't know why people are pro PC or pro Mac... get best of both worlds..

man i don't know why Windows users are so hard headed. I'm a avid windows user... but i can't believe how many people hate the OS X to say such things. Even to eject my External H/D... i gotta go through the both right task bar to eject it on my windows... On my mac it's right there next to the H/D. there's a million things i could list...
Is having crap/ if any DX support one of them?

Only if you buy your sub-par PC from a electronics store and don't built it yourself.

Don't pay it any attention. Most members here hate on Mac and live in a world of absolute denial where they believe game developers and hardware companies should cater to their every whim and their "custom built" PC's. They are too dumb to realize that there exists a world outside of their basement where people are not interested in building their own computers or cannot afford to game on expensive high end PC's.

Just installed OS X Lion. I noticed a slowdown in performance. I'm not very happy. What's up apple?!

Sorry, we don't have basements in Austin. The specs on the side of my Macbook Pro box most definitely read 2.26GHz C2D and a 160GB HD.

What people also fail to realise is that with Macs you don't need crazy fancy hardware, because OSX runs very quickly as it was designed with specific hardware in mind and optimised to perfection.

And if you're using a laptop, you'll notice the fans are audible, meaning it's working hard on something. That something is indexing, and it should be done in ~an hour.

I don't know if either of you did a clean install or not, but I did and both my mum's 13" 2010 Mac Book Pro (C2D 2.4GHz) and 27" iMac are running really snappy with no problems whatsoever.
