If you mean the white macbook, Apple just got rid of them so you need to buy them refurbished or used now

The question is, that at Apples insane markup, does anyone care? Oh yes, the fanboys :/

Although you may find some justification in the laptops (small, light, long batter), the desktops are far worse.

people still think apple is expensive? really? really? do you all know why the pc makers don't make laptops like the macbook pros? it's because they would be more expensive then apple.

the only real reason why apple seems expensive is because they refresh their products roughly every 12 months. whereas pc makers refresh every 3-9 months depending on the product's target market.

everytime a new mac lineup is introduced, people start to see the value as the pc competition is either the same price, a little cheaper, or a little more expensive.

when we are near the end of an apple product's retail life, people complain that they are overpriced.

i have a new theory: people who complain about apple products and prices were not breast fed as children

The minis look pretty cool. Lots of power in such a little box.

I mean, how can you compare a top of the line macbook pro to gaming laptops? They serve two completely different market segments
XPS 17 isnt necessarily a gaming laptop. And it was a comparison of hardware anyway. The screen is only better than the M18 in that it has a higher resolution but not everybody likes the 1920x1200 resolution and the screen is smaller. Blah blah blah it's over priced and you can't get around that. If you say otherwise it's called denial/fanboyism.

are you serious? higher rez is always better. you know that you can increase the size of everything with ease, right? (fonts, icons, etc,...). ontop of that, the IQ is superior on the MBP. it also has a more durable shell and longer battery life. and nobody can match apple's customer server and technical support, nobody.

funny how apple haters are far worse then fanboys.

The new MacBook Airs get some much needed upgrades like Sandy Bridge CPUs, backlit keyboard, Thunderbolt, and OS X Lion. Laptop Mag has reviews of the new 11" and 13" models if you guys want to check them out:
MacBook Air 11" Review
MacBook Air 13" Review

The only downsides of the new MacBook Airs seem to be slightly less battery life and less powerful Intel HD Graphics 3000 IGP. Laptop Mag got 32 minutes less with the new 11" model but only 11 minutes less with the new 13" model. Intels HD Graphics 3000 has proven to be slower than the Nvidia Geforce 320M. Still overall it seems to be a big upgrade leap for the MacBook Air line.
