Z68 Board and Memory

Thread Starter
Can anyone suggest which of these two Asus motherboards I should purchase?
Either P8Z68-V PRO or P8Z68 DELUXE. I understand one has the built in video port, however I do not really understand the pro/cons of each one beyond that.

Do I gain or lose anything with chosing either one?

Could you suggest 16G of the best memory?

I do plan on overclocking eventually and need to take that into consideration.

Any specific reason you want to go Z68?

The deluxe has over the pro :
1) Front-mount USB 3.0 box
2) Additional power phases (16+2 vs 12+2) may allow better overclocking
3) Debug LED that can give clues as to POST and no-boot issues
4) Onboard power/reset/clear CMOS buttons allow easy-breadboarding
5) Asus has reported that the PCB for the Deluxe is thicker, which theoretically indicates an enhanced sturdiness and overall better build quality -- then again, every P8P67 is put together pretty well. The entire P8 line is very high quality.

so its really if you can justify that extra for those little things. The extra phase system shouldnt be a problem if your OC'ing as the normal 12+2 on the pro, does just fine
